Our Story

The Story Behind Our Name
The name “Opal Ever After” was created from a combination of my birthstone (Libra girl here), my love of Disney, and my passion for helping couples truly experience & live their best day ever.
The opal stone is known to symbolize hope, purity, truth, good luck, and faithfulness. Throughout history, it’s also been associated with love, passion, creativity, and confidence. Opals reflect light in a way no two stones ever do, representing the individuality of every love story and the beauty that unfolds when two people choose forever.
Needless to say, choosing a name that aligned so perfectly with both myself and the heart of weddings felt like it was simply meant to be.
Meet Our Team
Meet the FOUNDER AND LEAD PLANNER
Hey There! I’m Danielle
Born and raised in sunny Sarasota, Florida, my path has been anything but ordinary — from working in busy operating rooms and managing medical offices, to teaching flying yoga and bartending in the heart of Siesta Key. Though diverse, each chapter led me closer to what I was searching for. In 2019, I followed my heart north to Delaware… where I unexpectedly found my true home in the world of weddings.
What began as a love for creating meaningful moments quickly became my purpose — guiding couples through one of the most meaningful chapters of their lives with warmth, intention, and care.
After years spent bringing love stories to life at Smokey Hollow and throughout the Eastern Shore, I’ve honed an organized, detail-driven approach to even the most complex events — all while keeping the experience calm, joyful, and just a touch magical.
When I’m not planning weddings, you’ll usually find me with the people I love, on a yoga mat, horseback riding, or enjoying anything that gets me moving outdoors. I draw inspiration from nature, love to travel and explore new places, and have always felt a deep connection to animals — their gentle presence keeps me grounded and reminds me to lead with compassion and curiosity in everything I do.
Guided by kindness and intention, my work is about so much more than timelines and logistics — it’s about celebrating the stories that bring people together and turning them into memories that last a lifetime.
If you’re looking for a planner who leads with heart, brings calm to the chaos, and handles every detail with intention, I’d be honored to walk this journey with you. Together, we’ll create a celebration that feels effortless, meaningful, and entirely your own.

Meet YOUR COORDINATOR
Hi, I’m Cashton
But most refer to me as Cash, it’s just easier.
I’m a lifelong local, now proudly stepping into my 5th year in the wedding industry. I started behind the scenes helping with ceremony & floorplan setup, and have grown into lead coordinator. A journey that’s given me a deep understanding of what it takes to keep everything running beautifully.
I love bringing a calm energy, order, and a little creativity into a day that means everything. Whether it’s guiding the timeline, supporting the wedding party, coordinating with vendors, or adding those final decorative touches. I’m always two steps ahead so you never have to worry about what’s next.
Running my own small business has also taught me the value of great communication and genuine connection. I’m here to make people feel comfortable, confident, and cared for from the first meeting to the last send-off.
Your only job should be to enjoy every second. I’ll handle the rest!

The Experience That Led Me Here
When I first began my role at Smokey Hollow Venue, it didn’t take long, only a handful of weddings, to recognize a major gap: couples desperately needed an experienced coordinator. Many hadn’t hired a professional planner, leaving well-intentioned mothers, friends, or relatives to take on the responsibility. My heart ached watching the stress snowball on what was supposed to be their best day ever. These designated helpers were overwhelmed by vendor questions, unsure about setup or design decisions, and disappointed that they couldn’t actually be present in the day. I found myself stepping in wherever I could, even though I was brand new to the venue and learning as I went. Then came the moment I’ll never forget: one couple’s hired coordinator canceled the week of their wedding! Truly heartbreaking.
Fast forward through the unforgettable, and extremely challenging, year of COVID. I witnessed some of the most beautiful moments, alongside some incredibly difficult ones. I could share countless stories, but I’ll save you from a novel.
During this time, I dove headfirst into learning the ins and outs of running a wedding venue while absorbing every detail of what goes into planning for a couple’s special day. I was fortunate to learn from some of the best planners in the area, soaking up their guidance like a sponge. I eagerly connected with local vendors, assisted planners at other venues, asked endless questions, observed the intricacies of floral design, and took every opportunity to grow. Even though I wasn’t hired to be anyone’s planner, I wanted to be the best resource possible for every couple at Smokey Hollow.
Along the way, I fell completely in love with weddings. I was living, breathing, and dreaming about them. Then one day, a couple asked me a question that changed everything: “Why aren’t you my planner? I need you on my team—and I won’t take no for an answer.”
I was stunned… and deeply honored. They saw something in me before I fully saw it in myself. And then it happened again. And again! Even reputable vendors began asking when I was going to step into the role of planning events. Each time, I was beyond humbled and grateful—and that’s truly where this journey began.
